In his message, Sheikh Qassem emphasized that the historic decision by Iran's Assembly of Experts ensures the perpetuation of the revolutionary ideals that have shaped the region for decades.
He stressed that this selection is a continuation of the path blazed by the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, and the martyred Leader, Imam Seyed Ali Khamenei. This is the path that has been steadfastly pursued to preserve Iran's independence, safeguard its Islamic identity, and confront oppression and aggression on a global scale.
The Hezbollah chief articulated that the resistance movement has always drawn its inspiration and strength from the Islamic Revolution of Iran. This ideological fountainhead remains intact and vibrant under the new Leader.
Renewal of the Covenant
The most significant aspect of Sheikh Qassem's message is the formal renewal of the covenant between Hezbollah and the new Leader. He declared that the movement will remain as loyal to the new leadership of the Islamic Republic as it was in the past.
Sheikh Naim Qassem, on behalf of Hezbollah's Shura Council, its leadership, and all forces of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, reaffirmed our renewed allegiance to the new Leader of the Revolution.
